We always have one eye on the headlines when it comes to the built environment, renewables and the next new thing in marketing.

At the end of each month, we round up a few articles that caught our attention - whether they highlight construction industry trends, interesting perspectives or stats/predictions that should shape the way businesses approach their marketing.

We’re also busy behind the scenes writing for our clients, from website copy and blogs to social media posts and news-worthy press releases. So below, we’ve signposted some of our latest work, too.

Read on for this month’s top picks!

Reading List

UK construction activity to increase this year, says RICS prediction

Stats from the RICS UK Construction Monitor suggest that the sector is expected to pick up over the next 12 months.

Key takeaway: Infrastructure is expected to remain the strongest-performing in the construction sector, with energy predicted to be the fastest-growing area - a promising sign for the renewables industry.

However, financial constraints, planning issues and ongoing skills shortages remain key challenges, particularly in green construction skills.

The Future of Content Marketing: A 2025 Guide

Content marketing continues to evolve, with AI playing a major role - which, ironically, sounds like something ChatGPT would spit out. But it’s not wrong.

Key takeaway: With 58.5% of Google searches now ‘zero-click’, ranking for featured snippets and AI-generated overviews is more important than ever. A zero-click search happens when search engines provide answers directly in the results, meaning there’s no need for users to actually click on a website.

Businesses also need to focus on optimising content across multiple platforms as search expands beyond Google.

Flexi-Orb Consumer Guide: Choosing the right installer and certification

This month, we created a digestible consumer guide for our client, certification scheme provider Flexi-Orb, written to help consumers make informed decisions when selecting a renewable energy installer.

Investing in renewable energy systems like solar panels, battery storage or EV charge points is a big decision. Consumers need to ensure their installation is safe, compliant and reliable.

The guide highlights why choosing a Flexi-Orb-certified installer matters, from the rigorous certification process to consumer code protection, Insurance Backed Guarantees (IBGs) and the perks of the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG).
